the Winter Lip Picks

Winter is the perfect time to experiment with lip colors for a girl like myself who is normally just too damn shy. The 4 above have proved to be my faves for -if you live in the UK you will certainly know this- these freezing past December days and with the month almost over I thought I'd share them with you.

1. Cyber by Mac: Not for the feeble(like I normally am) this deep almost black purple shade is extremely vampy. Lovely to wear in the evenings to make a statement and with mac's dazzle glass in "date night" over the top it looks so pretty with a glossy sheen too. hashtag versatile (notice me putting hashtag instead of a #) (it's a joke) (sorry)

2. Heather Shimmer by Rimmel: I simply can't get enough of this browny-pinky hue and heck I think I may have found a nude color that actually suits my skin tone.  In Rimmel's new moisture renew formulation this glides on like a dream and keeps the lips nice and moisturized which for these biting chapped lips making windy days is certainly a plus.

3. Baby Lips by Maybelline: This doesn't have a name for the shade but it is the red toned version. Extremely sheer but gives s subtle red tinge to the lips which with rosy pink wind bitten cheeks from the cold looks cute and wintery.

4. Show Off by Topshop: Can't ever beat a good candy pink lipstick whatever the weather. A surprisingly moisturizing formula this pop of pink livens up any makeup look even in the face of such dull and grey wintery weather.
